Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all quotations, orders and sales of timber made by Global Timber Trade Hub through this website or by written quotation.

1. Quotations and Prices

Prices on this website are indicative starting prices per cubic metre (m³) for standard grades. A binding price is given in a written quotation or pro-forma invoice, which is valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise. Final prices depend on species, grade, dimensions, drying, volume and Incoterms.

2. Orders

An order is confirmed when we accept it in writing and receive any agreed deposit. Specifications (species, grade, sizes, moisture content, volume and destination) are those stated in the confirmed pro-forma invoice.

3. Payment

Payment terms are stated on each pro-forma invoice. Typical terms are a deposit by bank transfer with the balance against copy shipping documents, or an irrevocable letter of credit at sight.

4. Delivery, Title and Risk

Delivery is made according to the Incoterms stated in the pro-forma invoice (for example FOB or CIF). Risk passes to the buyer as defined by those Incoterms. Ownership passes to the buyer on full payment.

5. Natural Product

Timber is a natural material. Variations in colour, grain, figure and minor natural characteristics within the agreed grade are not defects.

6. Legality and Documentation

We supply timber from legal sources with the export documents listed in our Shipping & Delivery Policy, including CITES permits for listed species. The buyer is responsible for import requirements in the destination country.

7. Claims

Quality claims are handled under our Refund & Returns Policy.

8. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, port closures, strikes, changes in law or export regulations, or shipping-line disruptions.
